My name is Andrew. I'm not quite sure who exactly that is right now, so bear with me if I come off strange. I'm 20 years old. I like answering random questions, so don't be shy. I love running, shooting, and climbing. Ironically I get to do all of that for a living, and I hate it.

PREACH!
letsgottoafghanistan:

“You don’t see anything wrong with it, cause then you’d see something wrong with yourself. And then you’d have to change, and I know how you hate changing.” - Pat O’Dea
I’ll never understand the desire some people have to tear others down.A recurring theme since Lauren and I’s engagement has been people telling her “you’re too young to be getting married - you’re making a huge mistake,” or even worse “why would you marry a soldier? He’ll never be there for you” or some variation upon that. Full disclosure - Lauren is 22, but I really believe age is but a number. And in context, when you have what we have..why wait? Nothing is going to change..I’m going to want to marry her, or be married to her for the rest of my life..so I see no difference in if I had married her the day I met her, 3 months from now, or 3 years from now.So why do people do this? Is it really as simple as “misery loves company?” If so, that’s fucking retarded. I’ve always been the kind of person who is happier when those around me are happy. I’m not going to go so far as to say I’m selfless…but I certainly put friends and family happiness pretty high on the priority scale. Sometimes my jealous, insecure nature kicks in and I think it’s because people see this beautiful, amazing girl and are trying to convince her otherwise for selfish reasons. But then you hear it’s other women saying some of these things..and then it’s really like what the fuck.I think, as a society, we’ve grown too content with our discontent. And anything even resembling happiness represents a threat to our beliefs in what we are, and what we settle for. Happiness just doesn’t happen. You have to work for it. You have to take chances to be happy. Ultimately people are too scared and too complacent to change what they have, and what they are. I guess this is why people are so quick to shoot down others when happy. They see  others being happy as a failure in themselves to change their situation. So instead of doing the hard work to change themselves, they try to change others. It’s sad really. Happiness is taking a risk. Happiness is following your heart, even when it takes you someplace you’re unsure of. Happiness is finding that one person you want to spend the rest of your life with, and saying ‘fuck all’ to everyone else…and being with them.

Fucking right. If you know you know, fuck what the world says. Logic=/=Love. Love does not make sense, it doesn’t adhere to the laws of men or the laws of what god you may believe in. It simply exsists, and it consumes people. Follow your brain, you’ll never find love. Follow your heart.

I should make my sister read this. She always has some negative thing to say when I tell her about my life and choices.
